ARE YOU NEW TO THE SCRIP & KROGER CARD PROGRAMS? NEED A REFRESHER ON WHAT THEY ARE ALL ABOUT?

With the Great Lakes SCRIP and Kroger card programs, families purchase certificates/gift cards at face value. The school purchases these certificates/gift cards from Great Lakes SCRIP and Kroger at a discount. Families receive tuition credit of 50% of the stated discount. The PTO and the Parish each receive 25% of this discount. See back of this page for SCRIP Calendar.

SCRIP FAQs (SCRIP Administrator - Rose Rucker 351-7581 or hrrose@wideopenwest.com)

  1. Where do I get an order form?
SCRIP order forms are sent home on the 1st Wednesday of every month in the communication envelope with your youngest/only child. Every time you place an order, a new order form will be sent home with your order. The most recent order form is available on the OLPH School website www.olphsaints.org
  2. How do I complete the order form?
Find the vendor for which you wish to purchase a gift card from. Bolded vendors are the cards that will be ordered for the vendors listed below them. Choose the denomination and indicate the total quantity. Multiply the quantity by the denomination of the card and put this total in the total column next to the vendor. Total all purchases and write a check to OLPH for that amount. Please double check all of your math and ensure that the total ordered matches your check. Please place your SCRIP ID on your check.
  3. How do I turn in an order?
Every family is receiving a brown 6x9 envelope with this memo, a school registration form and the most recent SCRIP order form. For your first order, please complete the registration form along with your order and return to the school in your 6x9 envelope. Make sure you mark on the envelope who your order should be sent home with. DO NOT lose this brown envelope. It must be used by you to send in your order and will be used by us to fill your order. It is very time consuming for our volunteers to have to make new envelopes each week.
  4. When are orders placed and when should we receive them?
The office must receive orders by 12:00 pm each Thursday (unless otherwise stated). Orders are placed once a week (Friday). You should receive your filled order by Tuesday orWednesday of the following week. If you have an afternoon kindergartener, please turn your order in by Wednesday afternoon. Having a holiday during the week will delay orders by a day.
  5. How do I receive my order?
Enclosed with this letter are a registration form and a 6x9 envelope. This form MUST be completed, signed and turned in with your first order. On the envelope you will indicate whom we should send your order home with . child, grade, teacher. Orders will only be sent home to those indicated on the envelope. If you choose to pick your order up yourself, ALL orders MUST be picked up before end of school day on Thursday, otherwise, they will be sent home with your YOUNGEST child on Friday.
  6. How does the tuition credit work?
Each family will earn 50% of the stated discount percentage to be applied towards the following year.s tuition. Everything that you purchase from June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009 will be applied towards your 2009-2010 tuition. For example, on the order form you will notice a % next to each line item. Kroger FAQs (Kroger Card Administrator - Rose Rucker 351-7581 or hrrose@wideopenwest.com)

For those of you who are already participating, you will no longer have to use a gift card to get your credit. For those of you who have wanted to participate but found the gift card program too confusing or time-consuming, Kroger has made the rebate program easier.

Beginning May 1, 2009, Kroger will now track your purchases using their loyalty card (the Kroger Plus Card). You know the card you scan to get lower prices. Some of you enter your phone number and that process will still work.

Once a quarter Kroger will issue to Our Lady of Perpetual Help our percentage of $1.25 million dollars. Your individual credit will be proportioned based on your (and your family & friends) usage.

In order to begin this program everyone who would like to participate will need to register their Kroger loyalty card. There are two ways to register your loyalty card.
1. On the internet, go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com and follow the instructions. This program seems to work the best.
2. Have the clerk scan the attached bar code next time you go shopping (your information with Kroger needs to be accurate and current).

Once you have registered your Kroger loyalty card the bottom of your receipts will print out .You are participating in the Kroger Community Rewards Program.. Depending on how you registered your loyalty card the print out may or may not indicate that the rewards are going to OLPH. This takes approximately 7 - 10 business days after you register your loyalty card. To contact Kroger with any questions please call 1-800-837-4483.

It is critical that you get any loyalty card number you and your family/friends have registered to the program coordinator so that individual credits can be applied. Any loyalty number not given to the program coordinator for individual credit will be assigned to the general school credit account.
